On the morning of July 9, the School of Medical Science held the 2018 new party member oath ceremony and the advanced deeds of comrade Xu Shuai congress in the video room on the sixth floor. The college’s party secretary Guo Jiashe, deputy party secretary Liu Zhichen, vice-dean Nan Han and all party branch secretaries, some party members and party activists attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Zhichen.

The convention kicked off with the solemn National Anthem. Party committee member Nan Han first read out the list of newly developed party members for the first half of 2018 and led the new and old party members to take a solemn oath under the bright red party flag.

As the representative of the new party member, Zhang Hailong expressed his excitement to join the communist party of China, shared the continuous progress of his own thoughts on the road of work and study, and set up the goal of continuous learning from excellent party members around.

Wei Chaonan, a 2016 student, expressed the eagerness of party members to join the party organization, and showed his determination to strengthen the party's theoretical study, demanded himself with party members' standards, and regard party membership as the goal of life.

“Great Soul often lives in a common body”, Guo Jiashe extended a warm welcome to the new members to join, and combined with the advanced deeds of outstanding communist party member Xu Shuai. And there are three hopes for the new party members: one is to keep the good working style of loving one’s work and fulfill one’s duties; two is to be full of the enterprising spirit of innovation and responsibility; and three is to pursue the noble sentiment of optimism, open-mindedness and selfless dedication.

Liu Zhichen pointed out that formally join the party once in a lifetime, and ideologically join the party once for a lifetime. All party members should not forget their original intention and keep the mission in mind. They should persist in learning from excellent party members and make positive contributions to the development of colleges and schools.
