Recently, Professor Zhang Yiguo from Chongqing University was invited to give a lecture on the "Topological Biology of the Transmembrane Transcription Factor Nrf1 and Its Forward-looking Study on the Significance of Life Medicine" at the School of Basic Medical Science of Henan University. Some experts, teachers and student representatives from the School of Basic Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Life Science and other Colleges attended the meeting. The report was hosted by Professor Hu Yanzhong, a Yellow River Scholar from the School of Basic Medical Science.
Professor Zhang Yiguo briefly introduced the history of the topological biology, which elicited the research background and the researches of the topological biology of Nrf1. He specifically noted the contribution to Nrf1 topology made by his research group. At the same time, he used the experimental data to reveal some errors in the papers and viewpoints of some foreign experts, and thus establishes the academic status in Nrf1 topology. Then, Professor Zhang Yiguo used his personal experience to introduce how to make contributions to the development of topological biology.
After the meeting, the experts and students had a heated discussion with Professor Zhang Yiguo on the related issues in the topological biology of Nrf1. Professor Ji Xinying, the vice dean of the School of Basic Medical Science, made a summary. The report ended with a big round of applause.
