The project of Talent Medical College: The Guidance of My Medical Future in The School of Medical Sciences Was Launched

At 1 pm of May 24th, the first event ofTalent Medical College: The Guidance of My Medical Future, which was also known as a Seminar for exchanging experiences in preparing the 2018’s postgraduate entrance exams, was held in the Lecture Hall of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The students who were admitted to post-graduate programs in 2013 and student representatives from Grade 2014 shared their experiences and thoughts with more than 200 student representatives from Grade 2016 and Grade 2017. The seminar was hosted by Si Wei, the Deputy Director of Party Committee Office.

In the Seminar, Yuan Changwei, a student who was recommended to Peking University First Hospital, detailly explained the requirements and qualifications needed in being recommended to post-graduate programs, simultaneously, he shared his learning methods in basic English, Systematic anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and so on. Moreover, he encouraged students to set long-term learning goals and short-term goals in advance and realized their dreams step by step.

Ma Lunkun, the one who passed the post-graduate exam of plastic surgery major at Xiehe Medical University, differentiated professional master and academic master in Medical School with comparative advantage analysis, involving how to make best choices according to one’s characteristic and habits. At the same time, he introduced to the audiences about the component subjects, proportion of different courses, schedule during the preparation, review methods and so on.

Afterwards, a girl who was enrolled to Hematology Department of the Beijing People's Hospital as an academic master, Gao Mengge, emphasized the importance of students’ comprehensive abilities by telling students her own experience in re-exam. She encouraged students to not only whole-heartedly specialize their professional abilities but also actively participate beneficial extra-curricular activities, promoting their confidence, psychological endurance and thinking ability at the same time.

What’s more, Jia Hongtai from Grade 2014, a boy who had gained prizes for several times in the National College English Contest, talked about the necessity of English learning methods; Zhao Zhenxiang from Grade 2014 emphasized the advantages for undergraduate students to read English essays and take part in research laboratory.

In the session of Q & A, students actively shared confusions and questions they encountered in school time with senior schoolmates, receiving useful suggestions and advice.

It was reported that this seminar was based on the questions gathered by school’s Medical Road Echo Wall platform, aiming to solve freshmen and sophomore’s confusions and questions with strong pertinence. Just as what President Xi told us,” At present, youth is for striving; in the future, youth is for memorial.” Several students who participated in the seminar said that, this seminar not only enabled them with countless effective learning methods and experiences, more importantly, it injected students who were in confused period with strong spiritual comfort, portraying a clear blue print, encouraging them to make every endeavor to realize their dreams and make contributions to our nation’s Medical and Health career.
