Professor Xing Jinliang from The Military Medical University of The Air Force was Invited to Conduct Academic Communication at The School of Medical Science

On the morning of June the9th,2018, Professor Xing Jinliang from the Military Medical University of the Air Force was invited to our school to conduct the academic communication, and the report was held in the recorded room on the 6thfloor of the School of Medical Science. Teachers and students from the School of Medical Science, the School of Pharmacy, the Key Laboratory of Natural Medicine and Immune Engineering attended to the report which was hosted by the vice-president, professor Ji Xinying.

Professor Xin had a report about‘the Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Cancer Prevention’. He first introduced the roles that the mitochondria played in the vital movement, and then he shared the the progress that his team had made in the mitochondrial dysfunction in liver cancer research, and then he elaborated the function of the mitochondrial in the generation of the liver cancer and colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors in detail, as well as the clinical significance of potential targets for cancer prevention and control.

The report is simple, brilliant, which hadresonatedwith teachers and students.During the report, teachers and students actively askedquestions and had ideaexchangesindepth on relevant scientific issues.

ProfessorXingJinLiang,MD,theteaching directoroftheBasicExperimentCenteof theMilitaryMedicalUniversityof the AirForce (formerly theFourthMilitaryMedicalUniversity), doctoral supervisor, thevisiting scholarof thekimmel cancer center at theUniversity of Texas and Thomas JeffersonUniversity ,the star ofthe general logistics department of science and technology, the new century talentsinministry of education, directorof theChinese anti-cancer association andthe tumor marker committee member.Hemainly engaged in mitochondrial biology and cancer prevention and control related research.Asthe person in charge or principal participants, he has undertaken more than 20 projects of various types, including the national "973" plan, the major new drug creation plan andhavingthe national science and technology fund, and more than 10 million yuan of research funding. He has published more than 70 high-level SCI papers. Among them, 47 SCI papers were published by the first author and corresponding author, and the maximum impact factor of each paper was 14.93. There are 15 papers which had the influence factor>5.He also had5 domestic and international patent licenses and 4 provincial and ministerial awards.
